FRIENDS SASA GALLERY OF ARTWORKS FOR SALE

The main aim of the Friends of the South Australian School of Art Inc., is to support and promote the work, history and development of the SA School of Art. To this end, one of its major activities is to raise funds in support of Scholarships and Mentorships for the students of the School, which as of 2020, is now incorporated within the University of South Australia’s academic unit: UniSA Creative.

The past several years have seen the Friends SASA mount two major sales of artworks that have raised more than $40,000 in funds which have in the majority, been used for scholarships for students. A number of South Australian artists, several of whom were/are FSASA members, donated art works to be offered for sale in these fundraising events. Among the artists were Ann Newmarch, Ian North, Jack Condous, Amanda Russell, Karen Seelander, Ian Clover, Uta Mooney, Phillip David, Mervyn Coles, Fruzsina Szakaly, John Parreall and John Kite.

As with many sales of artworks, not all of those on offer were sold. The works shown below are those that remain for sale, along with several new offerings. Should you wish to purchase or view one of the works, please contact Board Member Belinda Walker at 1belindawalker@gmail.com

As shown below, the artist works now available include those by: Ann Newmarch (this is an original print - 11th of just 20 made - of Newmarch’s well known print Women hold up half the sky!), Tony Antenucci, Brian Budgen, Angelika Tyrone, Hodaka Yoshida, Bridget Jolly, Karen Howser, Helen Taylor, Lyn Robins, Michael Skora and Jean Adams.

All of the funds raised through these purchases, as agreed to by each of the donating artists, will go to the Friends SASA for future programmes and activities that will benefit members and students studying at the South Australian School of Art: UniSA Creative.
