Bio

Angelika is owner of AIARTS - Australian & International Arts - which features Aboriginal, contemporary Australian and international art in exhibitions and in projects it undertakes, some through consultancies. Consultancy work has involved the planning and development of large and small projects with some focused on Aboriginal art and culture, and some within cultural diversity.

Angelika first studied at the SA School of Art, then obtained a Master’s degree and an Art History degree overseas, followed by PhD studies in Aboriginal art and culture at Flinders University. As a teacher and lecturer in visual arts and art history, she headed up departments, then led the development of the first programs in new media in the 1980’s which included graphic design, desktop publishing and animation. In the 1990’s, Angelika and Karin Schlegel, in a team-teaching arrangement, delivered the early multimedia courses at the newly built UNISA City West Campus.
